What is a PLN?
PLN stands for Personal Learning Network. It is a place where people of common fields / interest help each other with resources whether they are sharing, gathering, or working together. I think that creating a PLN is the best way to stay up-to-date with the new emerging trends in any field. Another advantage of creating a PLN is that all the information/resources are located in one spot and really takes off the burdensome task of going from site to site. It is like your one-stop shop where you find just about anything that you are looking for. As a new teacher, having a PLN is a plus for me because I can get ideas and resources from veteran teachers.

Pinterest
I really like using Pinterest and have been using since before I got into the educational field. I started off using it for knitting projects then began using to get ideas for the classroom. As a substitute teacher I think pinterest is the best network to go to when you are left without plans or incomplete plans. Pinterest has given me lots of ideas since one of my weakness is creativity. Once I find what I am looking for, I'm ready to go.
